Phew. I can’t believe I made it through this week. It was B U S Y. I mean. busier-than-normal busy. My baby boy turned five, we had our usual ballet and soccer practice/game, a birthday party to attend, a school fundraiser and then August’s birthday part at our home…with about 30 kids…and their parents. With a bounce house, an awesome balloon making stilt walker and Bricks 4 Kidz here (lego building company) I am physically sore from all of the excitement. I really need a full day to rest, but that’s not happening any day soon!
So, why am I not posting some awesome pics from the party you ask? Because I was hosting, and running around, and fixing boo boos, and retrieving towels for a kid who fell in the pool…and well, you get the gist. I took a few, but not as many as I would have liked. Lesson learned: hire a professional to come and capture your memories! Yes, even I need somebody to do that for me so I can enjoy the party!
Now onto the pics. As promised, I am staying true to my goal with this project, and that was to capture my kids in everyday activities. I will throw in some posed portraits here and there, but for the most part, I want to document a year of them just being them.
Here is my big FIVE year old going after the soccer ball at his soccer game! Check out the tongue!
Another exciting thing happened this week. My sweet and sensitive little artist had her artwork selected to be in a county wide art show! Talk about PROUD! She is so proud of herself, and she should be. Check out her artwork for yourself! Proud mama right here! (PS: she is begging me to teach her photography, too. wish granted.)
Keep the blog circle going by checking out the marvelous Nikki Matthews and her most adorable children!
